Against The Grain - Opening Night Photos
Im back in sunny Melbourne after a busy week in Perth with my show. I couldn’t have asked for a better opening. Great crowds, good sales and allot of beer… and popcorn!! Heres some flicks of the opening and exhibition layout. Ill post individual flicks of all the artwork soon.

‘Against The Grain’ Exhibition
Ive been quite busy with my new solo exhibition called “Against the Grain” which will be showing at Wasteland Gallery in Perth. My focus has been on a more personal self-reflective collection. SneakerFreaker X Reka Collab
For part of the No Comply festival in Melbourne, Sneaker Freaker magazine commissioned me to design a Limited-Run Tshirt that will be for sale at the opening. Naturally the design has to be skateboard orientated to link in with the show. Sneaker Freaker is one of 5 different organisations that is taking part in this No Comply T-Collaboration with some of Melbournes best artists.

The Writings On the Wall
As per usual there is allot of controversy around the popularity and tourism that street-art and graffiti bring to Melbourne. Especially with the new tough laws being put in place. Reputable newspaper, ‘The Age’ had a recent article about how popular and recognised Melbourne’s street art is. There was a Poll by Lonley Planet that found “Melbourne’s lanes were the most popular cultural attraction in the nation, ahead of the National Gallery.” The Premier is denying the importance of street-art to Melbourne’s tourism and believes its the “European-type” style of Lanes that is drawing the crowds… Read more

I just came back from a quick trip up to the southern NSW coast for a bit of a getaway holiday. Apart from the stunning beaches and national parks, I was interested in some old signage i found in a few country towns.
