Aalborg, Denmark

First day I managed to paint a quick wall at one of the hall of fame spots next to about 8 Swet pieces in a row.
Aalborg doesn’t have much murals so the locals were very curious of what was happening to their city.

Abandoned and forgotten

before leaving to Denmark I managed to to fit in a another wall in Dulwich, South London. This abandoned house apparently is meant to be knocked down in a year. A few other artists also joined me including Roa, Shok-1, Run to name a few. I managed to climb on the roof for this nice spot. Maybe no one will ever see it. maybe not…

Knock It Out!

I have a few pieces in a big group charity exhibition coming up in April at Blackbook Gallery in Denver called Knock It Out. Im honoured to be part of such a great line-up of Artists.

“Black Book Gallery is using art as a platform to support Love Hope Strength Foundation’s (LHSF) mission of saving the lives of people with cancer. Cancer took the life of Co-owner Thomas Horne’s twin brother, Tim, as well as millions of others world-wide each year. The show titled, “Knock it Out” is Tom’s tribute to all the families, patients, and victims of this devastating disease. (www.knockitout.org). Everyone, in every corner of the world, knows someone affected by cancer, and on the evening of Friday, April 5th, 2013, Black Book Gallery invites us all to come together to celebrate the lives of our loved ones.”

Check the flyer for more info. Ill shed more light on this shortly…

JAMES REKA RESIDENCY

PRIVATE VIEWING

James Reka painted a crooked trail across Europe last year, leaving a path of murals in London, Rome, Paris and Berlin. The tour was cut short by a shoulder injury, aggravated by graffiti related shenanigans, requiring him to return to Melbourne.During the recovering, Reka has been channelling the energy built up during the tour into a 2 months residency at Backwoods Gallery, re-fitting the gallery into his studio and forging a series of work which embody the style that he had been developing while overseas. Now fully recovered, Reka is preparing to return to Europe andBackwoods is left with an collection of work symbolizing a pivotal moment in his career.

As the first project of the year, we’re proud to present the catalogue of work as well as invite you to a private viewing for our collectors, this Sunday the 3rd of March from 2pm - 6pm at Backwoods Gallery.
