Installation Photos
Heres some more shots of the Uppers project I completed a week ago.
Stay tuned for updates on my July exhibition in Melbourne.

OneEightyThird
One of the installation pieces i painted for the ‘Uppers’ project. Thanks to all who made it down for the opening. If you couldnt make it down, my work will be up for the next 6 months. Ill post more photos soon…

The Uppers - 7pm Thurs 21st May
Yes well… when I’m meant to be concentrating on my next solo show, things like this pop up and are too good to turn down. Its pretty straight forward. I’m the lucky first of a series of artists that are being commissioned every quarter to create installations and paint the whole interior of the notorious ‘First Floor’ bar on Brunswick st. Feel free to come down to the opening for a chat and some free drinks, music and paint fumes.
See flyer below for details…

Work, Rest & Play
The last couple of months I’ve been building a body of work for my next exhibition coming up in July at Greenwood Gallery in South Melbourne. Ill give more info closer to time. Heres a sneak peak of one of the pieces in this collection.

My Kingdom, Not Yours
If your in Melbourne, definitely pop down to Gorker Gallery this Thurs (30th April) to check out the opening of Acorn’s next solo show titled “My Kingdom Not Yours.”
For more info check the Gorker site

The Streets
As of late I’ve being getting into doing quick street spots, incorporating my work in context with its surroundings. Walls like this have so much character already.

‘The Nine’ Giclée print
The 3rd out of 4 new giclée prints produced this year. The piece titled “The Nine” is A2 in size and is signed out of a limited edition of only 20. This lovely print is for sale online exclusively through NiceProduce. A steal at only $120Au too…

Lean on Me
Another ink drawing on paper I did for the recent pen show. It was a nice break to use fine-liners again. With the exclusion of colour, it makes you a lot more conscious of your line-work and harmony within those lines.

Drawing
Here’s a sneak peek at one of the drawings I’m submitting for an upcoming pen-based group exhibition in Melbourne. I went in a different direction with this piece. Life is not always bright and happy. My artwork should reflect this too. The flyer to the show is below for more info…

In the Mix
I finally pulled my finger out and mixed all my scraps I had lying round the studio. If your clever you can get about 1.5 cans worth of paint in 1 can. I ended up making over 10 full cans. Some nice colours too. Its a messy process but was totally rewarding at the end.
If anyone needs to know how to mix their paint, give me a bell…

Bird in the Hand
I’m quite happy with this little wall that myself and Mr Phibs did last week.
Tight colours and a nice theme. Its got a real Aboriginal/tribal feel.
Cant ask for more really. Maybe free beer??
The nightshot turned out rad too.

Finalé print
The second of the four new giclée prints I am producing this year. The print was created from an original piece titled “Finalé” which was exhibited late last year. The print is roughly A2 sized and is limited to an edition of only 20. Hand signed and numbered.
Online sales only through NiceProduce. For $120Au its a steal…

As of late, I’ve been locked in my cave painting away for various commissioned works.
I forgot where I had put the key, but it turned out in my favour. I think a bit of quiet
time did me some good. On another note, this photo was taken last year some time.
My character is part of a larger production that’s still in progress.
I’m loving the colours on this one. Smooth Menthol
