The Collaboration - Reka x Kid Zoom

After battling the elements for over a week, Im happy to announce that I Just finished this collaborative wall with Kid Zoom in Prahran, Melbourne.

We decided to collaborate on a large side profile of one of my characters. Kid Zoom worked on the eye mask and the top row of the teeth, while I worked on the rest of the face. I’m amazed that the contrast of styles really compliment each other.

Whole.

I am part of a large group exhibition which opens this Friday at Comb Gallery in Queensland. Info below >

‘Whole’ - an exhibition of the circle

The circle is a powerful symbolic form that holds a vast array of different associations throughout visual culture. This universal shape embodies our physical reality, from minute microscopic structures like the atom to the grandiose scale of the planetary giants. The circle has also been utilized to help understand and define our inner worlds as a symbol of balance and wholeness in psychological and spiritual practices. For ëWholeí we have asked a variety of artists from different backgrounds and stylistic approaches to create a work using this motif.

Opening Night 20th of April, 6pm

Show runs till 2nd of May 2012

Comb Gallery 23 McLean st Coolangatta, QLD

Brooklyn

I painted a wall with Yok from King Brown Magazine in Brooklyn NY late alst year. He’s been screwing round with those mini go-pro cameras that take lime-lapse shots. It’s pretty ameture, but nice and raw. I like it.
